The 11 Sessions of SOMA Bodywork
SOMA Bodywork is an 11-session series that progressively re-educates your body to move as it was designed to move. Through manipulation of the soft tissue, SOMA Bodywork unlocks the blocks and unwraps a more focused, energetic, spontaneous, creative and authentic you.
All in all, SOMA Bodywork takes the WHOLE you to the next level, boosting your internal sense of personal power, resolving chronic pain, leaving you much more comfortable in your own skin.
Here’s a breakdown of SOMA Bodywork’s 11 sessions:
SOMA Bodywork Session 1
Focus: Free the tissue surrounding the rib cage and lengthen the lower back.
Results: Feeling of lightness and well-being, a more upright posture. Fuller, deeper breathing.
SOMA Bodywork Session 2
Focus: The body’s foundation, the lower legs and feet.
Results: Feeling of being firmly grounded and in touch with reality.
SOMA Bodywork Session 3
Focus: Lengthen the sides of the body and free the shoulders.
Results: Expanded breathing, greater relaxation and more immediately available energy.
SOMA Bodywork Sessions 4, 5, 6
Focus: Adjust and lengthen the center line, or core, that runs vertically through the body.
Results: Better balance and freedom of movement. Walking takes a fraction of the energy typically expended. Note: these sessions should be completed within 2 weeks of each other.
SOMA Bodywork Session 7
Focus: Release the muscles of the neck, face and head.
Results: More softened and relaxed appearance in the face, with increased self-reliance and personal power.
SOMA Bodywork Sessions 8, 9
Focus: Integrate the whole body in a new and more efficient manner.
Results: Less stress and increased energy as the body’s structure becomes better aligned with gravity.
SOMA Bodywork Session 10
Focus: Release and integrate the arms and shoulders.
Results: Arms feel lighter and more connected to the torso, move with greater ease.
SOMA Bodywork Session 11
Focus: Further integration of the whole body, including joints.
Results: Movement flows through whole body and joints more freely.
